Another ancient site in Ireland, Newgrange, has spiral circles engraved into the stones at the entrance. The meaning of the triple spirals will probably always be unknown. However, it has been used by Christians to represent the Holy Trinity. Neopagans who worship nature use the symbol to represent "Land, Sea, and Sky". It has even been suggested the three spirals may represent pregnancy and fertility. Spirals are used in other ancient sites such as Italy and Wales as well.
